As well as being here for times of joy and celebration, the St. Bertoline’s Church Community also exists to give hope and comfort in more difficult and challenging times.
Leading, and arranging Funerals, is an important and privileged part of the Ministry at St. Bertoline’s. Much time is given to visiting families, comforting those who are facing loss and helping to arrange the Funeral Service, be that in Church or at a crematorium.
If you are a member of the St. Bertoline’s Church Congregation, or you live in the Parish, you have the right to have a funeral service in the Parish Church, even if you have lapsed, or have not been regular churchgoers.
The Funeral Service is for family and friends to gather together, to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has completed its journey in this world, and to commend their loved one into God’s merciful keeping.
Please contact The Rector of Barthomley, Peter Ennion, for more information, or for help in any way. His email address is ennionpeter@gmail.com, and he can be telephoned on 07518 434000.
